She didn't give me life. She gave me her faith. Her faith was stronger than ever even when she approached the last days of her life. She never questioned why she just prayed. She was a great loss to the family she created. She left behind her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She was filled with unconditional love for everyone. She made an impression on everyone she met. She had a heart full of never ending kindness. She always saw the positive side of every single situation. She always had a smile on her face even when there was no reason to smile. She believed that the life that God gave her was all the reason to smile.
It hangs on my wrist every day. A gold chain with a little pink heart shaped charm attached to it. I never go a day without it. To others it is nothing, to me it symbolizes friendship, loyalty and trust. It was given to me by my best friend. Someone who has showed me unconditional love and support. It doesn’t just symbolize friendship, it also symbolizes commitment. Every morning when I wrap it around my wrist I am committing myself to being a better person. Not just a better person to my best friend but a better person to myself and everybody else around me.
